Where you grow out of things you didn't expect to grow out of

I've been thinking lately, I haven't played video games in something around a month. I mean, I promised myself as a kid that I would always be something of a kid, always play these games that I knew made me happy, but now I find myself forgetting all about them.

Damn.

That might not be very shocking to a lot of you, and some of you still are probably screaming "a month? What could possibly occupy you for a month that you never once turned to video games?" I know, imaginary latter guys and gals, it's a shocker, but it's my reality these days. Dealing with college and everything that comes with the package, it's actually not that crazy.

And that's the unfortunate thing. That life keeps giving you more and more as you progress through the levels of the predetermined life of the modern world, that it's built into the system that you will let go of the things it finds useless, whether you like it or not. I don't mean to sound all depressing, I'm actually really happy with my life, it's just surprising when you look back and really see what you've cut out for the new things. I know this has nothing to do with my last post, but hopefully you're all interested anyway!

  1. I have not been really into games for years... Dunno what caused the change.

  2. The age old problem. When you are young and have the time to play games you are constantly short on cash. But when you finally have some money to afford buying games, you are constantly short on time to actually play them. I guess that is what sickdays are for.

  3. Oh wow I love that picture.

And games don't always have to be obvious things. Even small little things like avoiding the cracks in the pavement on the way to work, will still keep you young at heart.

    Followed.
